Our Network

The VOIPSTRA philosophy is to partner with the best suppliers of telecommunication and data products. For this reason, VOIPSTRA operates on two seperate networks; a Private and Public network that both have 24x7 network monitoring and redundant network links and paths.

About our Private MPLS Network
VOIPSTRA operates its own Private MPLS Network, which means we control our own destiny and because of this we can ensure all of our telecommunications solutions and service standards are of a quality fit for your business needs.

Our Internet border is protected by a proprietry system called GPS - Gateway Protection System. This means that all traffic destined for our Private network is scanned for virus, malware, spam and other bugs and is screened out before it ever reaches you.

DSL Network
Our DSL network is run seperate to our Private MPLS network and utilises a 100% Australian owned and operated MPLS data network - second in size only to Telstra. The DSL Network uses the latest network architecture but what makes this network unique is that it was built to carry dedicated IP traffic, securely and with inherent Quality of Service.

Voice Services
Our Voice Services have interconnects with Telstra at all 66 Call Collection Areas (CCA's) across the country and can terminate calls locally to over 98% of Australia. The network uses state-of-the-art carrier-grade soft switching powered by a combination of Cisco and Sun hardware and is today carrying over a billion voice minutes with network availability over 99.99%.
